This is a book that is useful for anyone who wants to understand global politics. It breaks it down into a war between classes. The bourgeoisie (the owners of capital) have since dominated the proletariat. The proletariat is condemned to always work in order to survive/ afford basic needs. This is due to privatisation of capital and free trade among other conditions instigated by the bourgeoisie. Marx and Engels call for a communist revolution in order to remedy the situation. This is in efforts to uplift the workers (proletariat) to the level of the ruling class.
