In reality, should the main protagonist have NEVER had a friend who was thoroughly poisoned with a toxic mindset which perceives the world in a way which ONLY EXISTS IN MOVIES, the very perspective that "WE CAN'T CALL THE COPS BECAUSE WE ARE BLACK", and that if they did, "THEY WOULD BE ARRESTED OR SHOT"... then there would be no movie here. This is of course, with the understanding that everyone in the movie was 100% innocent of any type of crime, and that the "white girl they were so terrified of calling help for" was in fact TRESPASSING on their property. Had they done the correct thing (something which the main protagonist wished to do, but was convinced otherwise by said "toxic friend"), then the film would be quite anticlimactic, instead involve three young adults calling the police to inform that an unknown girl was found in their living room passed out. We would then find that... after the police arrived and got paramedic support, the girl was discovered to have been looking for the house next door to them... after which they then would have been THANKED for getting the girl some help, and then proceeded to get on with their night.
