The Queen's Gambit holds your breath tighter than most action films or thrillers. And this says alot for a serie about chess. The screenplay is astounding and the composition is so well tought, every game of chess played feels brand new and original. Anya Taylor Joy's performance is offputting at first, but compliment her character so well that you can only relate to the awe and curiosity the world feels in regards to Beth. Smart, well paced and does not fall into any cheesy trap with romance or tragedy. The strategies and feeling of community are the real protagonists here in this more than brilliant rollercoaster of a show. A masterpiece.
