The best book I have ever read on the art of investment banking
by an actual operator/participant dealing with clients, not
a journalist's indirect take on the presumed glamour of the activity.
The biographical narrative touches on many of the fine measures
needed to be taken in achieving success with the most challenging
relations with entrepreneurs and deeply egotistical childlike
corporate officer in the span of the most important moments of
their financial lives. The book also describes Wall Street
investment banking houses over time, political participation
and private matters pulling the autobiographical structure together.
But above all a genuinely delightful read.
