Played this game in open beta for a week and felt it was pretty but boring with no hook. Now, more than a year later I jumped in again at the urging of a friend and what a difference! So much to do and all of it feels needed and purposeful with a good reward. Whether gathering up tradeskill goods, putting them to work making things, questing, leveling, grouping, soloing or just sitting in a city playing music on a crafted mandolins, it is all a blast and the game now is hard NOT to play. Most polished MMO I've played in a long time and a huge improvement since launch.

I have never played Minecraft or any other survival game as they were just not the genre I enjoy. At my son's urging OVER and OVER again I gave this one a whirl. Oh boy, I can not stop thinking about it and spending hour upon hour playing it. We now have our family going on a "seed" and it works for all of us. My wife and daughters are more into exploration and they are loving it. My son is into hard fights and advancement and he is loving it and I find myself addicted to building the most impenetrable fortress possible and am loving it. Great game. Can't wait to see how it develops over the years.
