I have read and watched both the Shining and the Dr. Sleep. Much better work on depicting the book, than was done on the Shining. The Shining movie did a very superficial job on it. Dr. Sleep was close to the book. Revealed the characters. Love it! Was shocked by the book's description of violence again, typical for King. But the film showed so much without showing ... Very impressive play by actors. Special effect, I felt like I was there. Keeps me thinking about it....
