I admit when I went into this book, I was still very attached to America and Maxon's story, but I understood that I shouldn't expect Eadlyn's story to be like her parents. However, it was still such a letdown. *SPOILER ALERT* I rooted for Kile since the beginning. They just seemed to have a lot of chemistry, they've known each other since they were young, their relationship went deeper than the other Selected / Elite. For Eadlyn and Eikko, however, it just felt so forced. They did not have a real relationship, yet they spoke about love and believed that they were in love with each other. Their relationship did not have depth like America and Maxon, not even close. Don't get me wrong, I think Kiera Cass is a very talented writer, but I wish she could've spent more time on developing Eadlyn and Eikko's relationship so that readers could really fall in love with their story, but instead it was like they just suddenly loved each other. There was no deep connection between them, it felt like the stuff that they knew about each other only skimmed the surface. I wished the author would've either done that or let Kile go off for a year, came back and then got together with Eadlyn for good. I was not satisfied with the ending, something about Eadlyn and Eikko just felt off. Still, thank you Kiera for finishing the story and you're a very talented writer! :)
