This was one of the best dramas I’ve seen in a long time. It not only demonstrated the horror of HIV/AIDS on a whole generation of young men, but also the joy they found in expressing their sexuality freely after years of hiding away. Shame and guilt was finally confronted in the years following on from this, despite opposition, as more gay people fought for their rights to be. However, sadly homophobia remains.
