I loved this book,telling a heartwarming tale,of a mother and son, on a expedition by bicycle from Rotterdam to Istanbul.Telling a story not only of a arduous journey,but of the ladies early life,and her relationship, with her father. Beautifully written,and deeply descriptive.Going back to the past,telling of her fathers great interest in bird life,and then to the present,mentioning the birds they saw on their trip. Mental health is also a feature,as the author, and her father suffered from depression.However I found this read, most compelling,and optimistic. Strongly recommended.
