‘Saltburn’ is an A1 film.
If you can handle the PTSD after. It’s quite the traumatic experience. Cinematic darkness of character, portrayed in technicolor.
I’m particularly interested in the character of Oliver - his motivation, his background and his juxtaposed emotions. He claims to have hated the Catton family. But he drank bath water with semen, and seemed to be in love with and sexually attracted to Felix.
Did he plan to kill his family and inherit their wealth from the start? Or did he just want to get close to Felix, only to fall in love with him. Then when Felix rejected him, he reverted back to hate and saw an opportunity to destroy his family.
Why does his hate privilege so much, that he would ruin an entire family for it?
Is he a sociopath or a psychopath?
