It wasn’t so much the quality of the acting that was off putting... Adam Sandler, as an actor, played the role fine. The problem was that his character was such a dope. It was painful to watch one stupid move after another. Any reasonable person would be hard put to identify with Sandler’s character. I wanted to shout, “Put it in the safe!” “ Don’t let him leave with that.” “ Don’t bet on that.” “ “Don’t pawn that too.” When he was threatened at gunpoint, I thought, “ I’d like to shoot him,” and I’m not a violent person. I too, like some of the people who also reviewed this movie, wanted to walk out. Due to circumstances, I couldn’t... It was excruciating. Do I wish I didn’t see it? Ah, it was like getting sucked into those FB posts of the stupidest things you’ve ever seen someone do. You kind of love to hate it.
