A fabulous book, written for average readers but full of recent scientific studies you can follow up on ! You know that friend you have that seems to know the WHY behind the reason they add sprouts to their salad, why we need daylight and regular bedtimes to balance our wake/sleep cycles, why exercise lowers cortisol stress hormones... this book is like that for dogs. Not only that, it's the first book I've ever seen that links holistic life style choices for dogs with those of people. AND it's co written by a Canadian and an American (a veterinarian), so not all sources of items and advice are from the US. Nice for us Canadians. We have a friend in veterinary school at Guelph U and another recently graduated. They both say their training contained only minimal nutritional education for animal health. Here is tons of info about supporting your dog before illness may erupt, not after and so much of it applies to us humans as well. Holistic life style choices of many kinds are covered in this book and it makes you feel good just to read it! Our 15 year old pooch and brand new puppy will benefit so much. Thanks for a wonderful book!
