Superb comedy writing and cast is excellent, with a perfect mix of up and coming stars and long time, reliably great performers, that can't help but be outstanding anytime on screen. Don Cheadle's chemistry with both Regina Hall and Andrew Rannells is unquestionable, and Cheadle really shines when given the chance to really just show his comedic chops. Cheadle has now been very, very good, for a very long time but the way he's able to not only hold his own, but excel when in dialogue with proven improv beasts like Paul Scheer is really something. Scheer is outstanding and has at least a moment or two every episode that really steal the show and he makes for a perfect compliment to the primary plot lines. The screenplay is super quick, and at times, laugh out loud funny. The 1980s setting is played up beautifully. I've been a huge fan of the show since the premiere and look forward to every episode more than any other comedy in recent memory. I hope showtime can keep this thing they have rolling and the writers have an idea as to where they want to take the show, because I have thoroughly enjoyed it and really wish for it to continue at the level it's at now. The cast are capable of carrying this show as far as the writing will allow and so far, it's been a hell of a match v and the people responsible for casting really earned their paychecks on this one.
