First off, those complaining about this film placed in Montana, and filmed in New Zealand, just wow, look at any period film. Next, this film's storyline and symbolism is off the charts. The scarf of BH, the building of the rope (anyone who has cowboyed understands this), the isolation of being on a ranch regardless of the size of the main house, the castration of cattle, the judgement of a possible gold digger, the idolization of the head cowboy, on and on. The less words spoken tell the story. Like reading the best book, the devil is in the details. One of the best films I have ever seen.
