Veronica Whitfield

I was wonderfully surprised and satisfied with this movie. I stumbled upon it by chance while surfing my DTV. In my opinion, this is Samuel Jackson's best film. He is intense, sincere and gives a no-nonsense performance as a parolee trying to reclaim his life. Ruth Negga gives a jaw breaking performance as his troubled daughter. The two make an awesome team portraying two grifters aiming to reclaim the better part of themselves. I am adding this movie to my personal collection as the storyline, filming and editing gets "5" thumbs up. I am sorry I missed this one on the big screen. You will not be disappointed.

I am an avid movie watcher from classics to current. An admirer of Ewan M as well and while this story has some touches from other films I have watched this one is equally well done. The plot has twists and turns and if you like action and drama and a fast paced storyline, you will not be disappointed.
