Warm and entertaining film about a white writer's exposure to the culture and mindset of an elderly Lakota Indian. His journey of understanding takes him across wonderful landscapes, and changes his life, while not ever writing the Elder's biography he set out to do.

It's a wonderful story of a con man and how he turns the tables on the dominant culture with his zany idea.
Having said that, we had espresso coffee at a tent run by teenagers at the Shiprock Fair once, so Harold's ideas weren't totally out in space.
I loved the movie!
