i wish the series made the viewers get confused with who is right, and convey the essence of the book, which was that not everything is as simple as we see it; the world is gray instead of being black and white. the show clearly depicts elena as the antagonist, but in the book, both elena and mia does things which are justifiable according to them, but disagreeable for us.
