This review is on an xbox series x (next gen) This isn't a game about basketball, it's a discount affiliate marketing course filled with stupid ads and they even managed to force a battle pass into this game. You spend more time walking around a large map to do pointless tasks than you ever will on the court. It's honestly a 60-40 split of random BS to playing basketball, but at the beginning of the career mode don't plan on playing for about 2 hours. The basketball portion has it's own plethora issues, but I don't want to write an entire novel here. My favorite part is the fact that you can buy a go cart in game to move faster in the city, which seems cool, but it would cost over $300 of in game currency to afford it. I can buy 2 go carts irl for less than that. If you want to play basketball and have a fun career game mode, stick to 2k21. If you want to be force-fed ads, force-fed sponsors, hate the portion of 2k where you play basketball, and enjoy horrible basketball physics, then this is the game for you.
