This series is a man's fantasy series. Here are some examples:
1. Beautiful Lisa hits on her acting old teacher and she lets him have her even though he's much older than her (he's 75, she's 50) - good ego boost for him. After sex he disappears for a week not calling her. By doing so, he sustains his pride and she loses her dignity. Notice he didn't have to court her, she courted him which is a great ego boost for a man (particularly an old man).
2. Mindy (Sandy's daughter) is a very young woman with a beautiful face, but overweight. She falls in love with Martin a man who's 67 years old who is also overweight and bald. He doesn't even have to court her, she hits on him and initiates the moves in the relationship, she makes it all easy for him (his ego). That's a good boost for the old man, embarrassing for the young lady.
3. Mindy inherits $10M which she shares with Martin. How convenient for Martin to marry a much much younger woman who also brings millions of dollars. What has he brought to the relationship? no looks, no wealth, no youth, no success. He gets a good ego boost from that relationship with the young girl. What's in it for the girl? nothing, she's just being exploited without anyone noticing. Good for his ego. Not so good for her dignity.
4. Norman who's very old gets attention from a beautiful woman. Again, he doesn't have to do anything, she does the courting and invites him to bed. Not the other way around. How good for his ego. On top of that she doesn't only come with beauty, she's well off financially, so he doesn't even have to support her. How convenient. He doesn't have to 'give' anything. Great for his ego. Not so good for her dignity.
5. Picking an unattractive woman to play Sandy's ex-wife, while the girlfriends are played by attractive women.
It would've been nice to see some gentlemen courting and bestowing ladies where they put the ladies' needs before theirs. It would've been nice to have a young guy (played by Chris Hemsworth or Zac Efron) dating Mindy and that he's the one who inherits $10m and shares it with Mindy.
It would be better to have Dr Roz Volander act as the preferred and more desirable girlfriend (even though she's overweight) and Lisa as the nasty (good looking) ex-wife.
I gave this 2-stars because the acting was good and I liked the interactions between Sandy and Norman, even though they were mostly about dealing with (using) beautiful ladies.
