well not impressive at all....This is also difficult to understand that why did they cast a dilapidated, apparently a terminally ill person as a Hero. He is in his 40s but looks much much older and ironically two much younger and attractive ladies have a crush on him.....while he does not seem to be interested even in living anymore, he looks like being forced to pass romantic overtures to the one or the other lady at the different stages of drama which looks downright silly.
Plot is a cliche....nothing new.....Even costumes for example that of incubus fail to generate any sense of reality or scare and looks like to belong to a tableau show instead of a drama. They had a good theme regarding dreams , their reality and relation to the conscious and subconscious but ruined it successfully thanks to the direction and some childish acting of the cast.
some idiot has proved it superior to "the haunting of bly manor" as a play.....well the latter is way superior to even most of the present day horror movies let alone this silly mockery of a play.
