I think it could have worked if it hadn't given away its entire hand so early on in the first season. Then the introduction of two characters meant to be a threat, whose dialogue can only be described as basic, come across as annoying more than scary. It bums me out because Natalie Martinez can't seem to find a show that works for her and she's actually pretty great. This show definitely could have baked longer, there's something in the general idea but like Lost, it loses it.
