I was surprised by the terrible reviews by some! I loved the movie & didn’t “over-think” it - I also didn’t know the connection to any sort of ulterior motive. I just thought it is a sweet story & Josh Lucas is easy on the eyes. It does over-simplify life but again I just found it entertaining & the acting is excellent. The children in the movie do an outstanding job.

Very powerful movie. The injustices to black people is heartbreaking & with what is currently happening in America, more relevant than ever.
