I absolutely LOVE the show “Versailles”! I love period films/ shows and this show has it all! Some (loose) history captures the decadence of how the French lived in the 17th & 18th centuries...The palace (empire) of Versailles itself with all its extravagant and stunning details is a perfect example of How gluttonous Louis XIV/ his court, kings before him & after, til Louis XVI/ French Revolution, lived at the expense of its (mostly poor) citizens! I’ve binged for hours on end watching Versailles. When out/ working, I could hardly wait to get home to watch more Versailles (on Amazon)! Everyone involved in this show did an amazing job from the writers, producers, director(s?), the stunning actors performances (and what a beautiful cast they are!). Those in wardrobe did an outstanding job with the extravagant costumes! Mostly, a big warm THANK YOU to Simon Mirren & David Wolsencroft for creating this show!! Furthermore, what red blooded woman or gay dude doesn’t love watching the SEXY men of Versailles? OMG, I could eat up Alexander Vlahos & Evan Williams; geezus they are the hottest/ best lookin guys on TV/ in the movies!!! Or drool over scenes of Louis/ George Blagdon without his shirt; ouch, he’s hot! How bout their lovely locks? I wish men today wore their hair as Louis, Phillip & Chevalier de Lorraine do in the show; Hell I wish my hair was that gorgeous! I was sad when I got to the end of this show! So I watched it again, ha! I want to see another show with these Hot Guys!! Another period drama would be great! How bout a show on Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette & the French Revolution? I saw Sophia Coppola’s movie, “Marie Antoinette”, and it was fabulous!
