Probably the best show about teenagers I’ve watched, and the most realistic one. The show never went over the top with certain situations, like “Love Victor” or “Riverdale”. And there was not happy ending, and the end of the 1st season. Anyways, usually endings of show don’t make me cry, but this had me balling. “Have a nice Christmas” who does that. I was just waiting for Simon to run after Wille (ughhh.) Also the addition of someone on the spectrum was brilliantly done. This show gave insight to life on the spectrum and ADHD, without going overboard. Also the actors, were absolutely amazing and I believed ever emotion and thought running through a characters mind. Like I genuinely hated August, I flipped him off every time he came on the screen. The casting was 👩‍🍳💋✨(chefs kiss). The fact that the leads are actually teenagers and that the director does not use filters, makeup, or shy away from close ups shots. Like when have you ever been to a high school with 24 years olds and people with zero acne. I just really hope this does not end like other lgbtq+ shows where the characters don’t get their happy ending or they get an unrealistic one. In conclusion, I NEED a season 2 of Young Royals. I started learning Swedish again for this show.
