You know what? I laughed a lot during this movie and really enjoyed the Sonic animation/character. The backstory was weak but at least it was short. My kids loved it. I'd recommend this just as long as you don't have high expectations. There are a few scenes that involve his speed and perception of time that are simply amazing from a production standpoint.
