Original Foundation series was very smart political science fiction/space opera that inspired such great woks as Dune and Star Wars. This series is very dull, pale imitation, infested with "woke" agenda.
Daneel Olivaw - male robot, swapped to be a female, Salvor Hardin - male mayor - swapped to female, Gaal Dornick - male swapped to female, Lors Avakim - male swapped to a female. It's clear that creators of the show were more concentrated on virtue signaling and not to making a good story. Why change gender of the half of the main characters? What it adds to the story?
And I could care less about gender-bending of Lors or Gaal, but Daneel Olivaw is the best character in Azimov's work and one of the best sci fi characters ever made. Making him a female completely changing his character to the point where it's not even him. It's just some completely unrelated character.
And on top of all of that - the scene with falling Star Bridge in episode 1, it was beautiful but very-very-very dumb. Why would the 10,000 years old space civilization create a construction that could be so easily blown up and destroy good portion of the Imperial city?
