Listen, the show has its flaws, but the reason it's getting so many bad reviews is because the main character is gay. What is, in my opinion, far more important is that the show brings back a lot of the things I loved about the earlier seasons of Arrow while still telling its own story. It has the dark tone, more realistic stakes, and some surprisingly interesting secondary characters, and it certainly hasn't earned all the criticism it's gotten.
