The villains in the Home Alone movies 1 and 2 are clear cut villains: they tell us their intent to rob and do whatever it takes to gain unearned money and possessions, at whatever cost. The couple set out to be the villains in this film are everyday people going through every day problems. Why make them villains??? There is no evil intent, no malice… I don’t want to watch a film where the villains are honest hardworking people. Then, the “tricks” and “booby traps” are weak. We need a do-over. If you wanted to make a different movie then you should have.
