Best monster in all of horror movie history! You won't get a full view of the beast until later in the movie, but the build-up is absolutely delicious. If any of you are familiar with the Windego from Native American lore you will recognize the monster as a manifestation of that maladiction. Don't miss The Ritual, it's one of those films that will stay with you.

We're not sure what it takes to get a decent movie rating from people these days. Apparently awesome suspense isn't valued at all because right out of the gate The Empty Man sets a tone of dread and mystery that gripped us and delivered the high value horror-rush that's appreciated in our neck of the woods. So, I guess you're faced with a decision: skip the movie based on the lousy 2.9 stars others gave it or make some popcorn and settle in for a masterful, gut-wrenching 2 hour and 20 min ride. Giddy-yup.
