Three words: it was terrible. I'll just have to watch reruns of the original series in order to maintain my fondness for the show and its assortment of characters. Nothing against the city of Detroit but they should have instead followed Raylan's transfer to south Florida...or maybe crafted a prequel season. Watching 'City Primeval', after the original series, was like following up a sumptuous steak dinner with a dollar store snack cake for dessert.

Cast with a handful of actors who would go on to bigger roles, I was nevertheless disappointed with this HBO Original. Special effects were marginal at best and whoever served as the military advisor for this film should never again serve in that capacity.

The storyline was just ok and doesn't do the true 'Wind Talkers' justice. The action sequences were a little over the top, but what bothered me most is all the fireballs when someone throws a fragmentation grenade, almost as if the enemy soldiers were each humping a five gallon can of gasoline. Ridiculous.
