Absolutely amazing! Watched in 3 -D and what a treat for the eyes!! As good as Top Gun Maverick. Also, very clean movie- go watch with kids without a care. The best acting of their career by Hritik, Deepika and Anil Kapoor. Just a few points- My dad is a retired Indian Air Force officer and he explained some things to me when I couldn’t understand while watching Top Gun Maverick with him eg why flares are used to evade heat seeking missiles. Maybe this could have been explained to the audience when Hritik was shown to be a flight instructor.

Great movie! Does make the audience go through the entire gamut of emotions. It explores patriarchal control, abuse by family in the garb of being elderly, emotional abuse by being unavailable to kids and wife, loss of a woman’s identity after marriage, body image issues caused by families and a lot of other issues one sees in everyday life and assumes to be normal…while it isn’t. Taking off one star for language like “orgasm” which absolutely makes it inappropriate for children below 13 at least. Unfortunately, in India it’s been marketed as family masala and will expose children to themes and language that’s too mature for them.

If you have read books written by hunters who killed real man eating tigers and leopards (Jim Corbett, Kenneth Anderson), you will very clearly see glaring mistakes in the movie. Even though this movie is about a lion rather than a tiger, there are some basic principals that apply to any of game hunting- least of which is using the right rifle! It’s just so bad in some places that you wonder if the writers had any idea at all about how animals hunt! For instance, there’s a house with a bunch of people killed by the lion. A lion , unlike an Assault rifle, takes time to kill a person even if he does it due to fury and not actually intending to hunt. Why the other people in the hut stayed around waiting for their turn to be killed is just one of the most absurd ideas! When the lion is tranquilized and they have a window of 2 hours, the idea of running back to safety and succor instead of waiting around to see what happens next doesn’t even enter anyone’s head. Honestly, I can’t even watch anymore so there ends the review.
