If you have read books written by hunters who killed real man eating tigers and leopards (Jim Corbett, Kenneth Anderson), you will very clearly see glaring mistakes in the movie. Even though this movie is about a lion rather than a tiger, there are some basic principals that apply to any of game hunting- least of which is using the right rifle!
It’s just so bad in some places that you wonder if the writers had any idea at all about how animals hunt! For instance, there’s a house with a bunch of people killed by the lion. A lion , unlike an Assault rifle, takes time to kill a person even if he does it due to fury and not actually intending to hunt. Why the other people in the hut stayed around waiting for their turn to be killed is just one of the most absurd ideas!
When the lion is tranquilized and they have a window of 2 hours, the idea of running back to safety and succor instead of waiting around to see what happens next doesn’t even enter anyone’s head. Honestly, I can’t even watch anymore so there ends the review.
