I have just finished watching "My Mister" for the third time. It is one of the most beautiful and deeply touching series I have ever seen. All the cast were outstanding. The narrative was convincing and relevant, an engaging drama. The beautiful relationship between the two main characters keeps the viewer engaged from the very start. IU seemed to live the part and Lee Sun-Kyun's subtle acting was perfect. I must also add that the tragedy of Lee Sun-Kyun's passing really shocked me.

Such a beautiful and touchingly subtle film which said so much about how difficult aspects of traditional culture can affect peoples lives. Was there some hope for their future in the final moments ?

A quiet delight and well worth watching if you enjoy a quite slow but subtle story.

Just what I needed, such a deeply touching story which I thought avoided being over sentimental as so much of the drama is handled with care and subtlety.

I thought the film excellent overall with very good acting and a mostly believable story line. At times it hinted at being a Spanish, "Normal People", although no where near as remarkable. Well worth watching.

A film with so much to say with an outstanding cast. Apart from a touching love story it said so much about what a horrible decade the 1950's was. I am surprised that film critics only give it three stars.

Coming across this film I quickly found I was pulled into its narrative and remained engrossed until the final shot. Interesting and touching while dealing with a subject which I cannot recall having encountered before.

Just remarkable. At first I wasn't quite sure if I would continue watching as I suspected it might be too upsetting, (aspects of it were just that), but as it continued the intriguing story lines became more and more compelling. Such a cleaver film.

I have no hesitation in giving this 5* . For me it ticked every box, touching and poignant, full of expectation and anticipation, and an imaginative tour de force. Oh! yes and a powerful commentary on the horrors of war and its aftermath. French cinema at its best. I shall recommend it to all my friends.

I suspected it was going to be over sentimental but to my considerable pleasure the whole subject was handled with great skill and integrity. I found it moving and very touching, so a very worthwhile watch.
