Story wise is the best out of all three video games in my opinion. This one sure gives you the best first experience on playing games like these. This is a nice introduction to the series, however playing Call of Pripyat first seems like a better choice, considering it's much easier. The atmosphere, missions, AIs, environment are great. You can't expect a good graphic from a game coming out in 2007. But, give this game a shot for your first time experience.

One of my favorite out of all the other S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. The atmosphere and environment is still the same, as well as the lore. Gameplay is a lot easier and the story is easier, although the missions are pretty fun to do. I recommend playing this if you can only play one or if you can't play Shadow of Chernobyl. There aren't as much as missions as Shadow of Chernobyl and not as long as Clear Sky, but it's still worth a shot. I also recommend playing with STCoP mod, it improves the gun models and sounds. Overall, not a better game and not a worse game than the other S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games in the series.
