I feel The Lion King remake was a great example of what leaps and bounds technology has made. However, I feel so much of the original emotion is lost. What we gained in visuals, we lost in depth. It still is absolutely worth the watch.
Notes: I was disappointed in the talk Mufasa had with Simba. In the original, Mufasa was stern and made a point that Simba put himself, Nala, and the whole pride in danger. This wasn’t interpreted in the 2019 film. I also felt Rafiki didn’t have any real personality. He was a funny character I enjoyed as a child. As an adult, I didn’t really see his point being in the film other than fact simply that he was simply in the original.
