Probably the worst movie i've ever seen. No not in production quality or the acting (both of which were actually really well done imo). The problem for me isn't that it doesn't answer any of the questions it poses. The problem is nothing happens in the movie. The first 30 minutes or so capture you, but then, nothing happens.
Things like birdemic or sharknado are watched /because/ they're bad.
This movie is bad because it had all the potential to be good, but then, nothing. It wasn't even a 'poof' nothing, nor was it a poetic whimper until nothingness (nor even a non-poetic whimper for that matter). Simply nothing happened. Both I and my fiance felt nothing during or after the movie. If we had done literally nothing, and watched a black, unpowered tv screen for 2 hours, we would be the exact same people as we are after having watched that movie.
Maybe there are too a lot of poorly written, unrealistic, or just plain terrible movies that become popular, or any combination of the three. The difference between those movies, and these, is that something happens.
If we were going to watch a movie about WW2, would one enjoy watching a heroic embellished story of an actual person who as last man standing slayed hundreds of nazis, went through struggles of losing his friends in battle, or anything at all happened to? Or watch another true story about the guy who filed paperwork for the military, was kind of a happy person who just did their job, worked toward their pension, had a nuclear family that despite how normal it is to have even minor domestice issues, this guy doesn't, loves his wife, loves his kid, they love him, he has friends he gets together with regularly, he doesn't really mind his job, maybe the worst thing that happens to him is he wanted to fight in the war, but couldn't because of a back issue, but he is happy he can at least contribute in a logistic position. I ramble, but the point is, stories, are entertaining and have value, because something happens.
