For those of you that couldn’t understand the plot. Enlist in the army or marines. The majority of you are like Kyles wife who doesn’t completely understand what he’s going through because she’s never been to war herself. It’s not like you can flip a switch and be normal again.
This film glorifies killing? No. This glorifies brotherhood and the bond one soldier has for another. What would you do if your fellow soldier died and you felt you were responsible. You think Al Qaeda didn’t count kills? Of course they did. Al Qaeda literally film killings and sell them for profit on the street.
And for those of you who think all of the Iraqis were innocent they aren’t. All the Iraqis in this film that were killed were trying to kill American soldiers, Al Qaeda or not. Not to mention Civilian casualties are the reality of war and all attempts are made to try and minimize that. Sometimes mistakes are made.
