Depiction of a Bengali by Akshay..leaves much to be desired in the movie. I have grave doubts whether bengali's during that era ever spoke in broken bengali and hindi, especially in the linguistic sense. I guess better research could have been done. Story line is mainstream to me...a patriotic story revolving a sport which was nearly forgotton in India as a major sport ( in stark comparison to the rapid commercialisation of cricket). The movie's packaging is the same as in any other movie from the time of the release of "Chak De". At times it almost seems as if patriotism is forced down upon the viewer. All in all, its a good cast and needless to say its a good attempt at a storyline. But its nothing i havent seen before...in any other similar genre of movies.
