I am a huge fan of period dramas, Olivia Colman & Rachel Weisz, so it seemed this couldn't miss....and, it didn't. "The Favourite" was a marvelous, laugh out loud romp, with incredible performances by both Colman & Weisz...as well as Emma Stone, and really....ALL of the cast. There's definitely dark humor here, which I personally loved, although I know it doesn't work for everyone. If you don't like anything "off color", or your views on sex are a bit, well, puritanical, you might want to skip it. I'd say, view the trailer. If you like what you see, I think you're in for a great time. Thoroughly enjoyable!
