The story and kaiju had me invested all the way through. I did enjoy seeing a lot of references to other kaiju and it got a little fun spotting them every now and then and what fight scenes the show did have were cool but sadly, that's about it for the positives. Unfortunately, the story is focused on overly complex scientific explanations that lost me numerous times. But the biggest problem I have is when I would ask the same question at the end of every episode: "Where's Godzilla?" For a series with "Godzilla" in the title, he doesn't make a physical appearance until over halfway through the series. Even then, he only has probably 45 sec to 1 min of overall screen time for the rest of the season. I know the first season of any series isn't always going to land so I'm staying optimistic for future seasons.
