I truly enjoyed the episodes being someone with no clue whatsoever of this tragedy because I was just a month old during December of 1996 and I am neither a French nor an Irish.
I cannot say if Bailey is the murderer. I would say that the French law is quite odd and the Irish enforcement team was very disappointing.
Yes, hearsay evidence is not the best but we must consider the area as a small and close knitted community, everyone knows each other. It was Bailey who brought himself to the center of it. He confessed to not one but several persons.
It is a shame there is lack of top tier DNA technologies at the time and professionalism of Garda.
I am sure the whole process is very physically and mentally draining for the family members and the locals also for the alleged murderer. I wish all of them get peace. If Bailey did it, I hope he gained courage to admit it. If not I hope the family knows that whatever happens, they tried their best to bring justice and that is very sufficient. Karma comes in all forms and shapes, I believe if not now then he/she will be persecuted in hereafter.
