I saw this film over the last two days. I was drawn to it because a friend commented on how wonderful was the music. I hardly noticed the music until toward the end when the romance became real, but the soundtrack is available on line and the music, by the London Symphonic, is lovely. But what is truly wonderful about this film is the development of the love between Jack and Joy. The acting and dialogue are superb. You can second guess what’s going to happen between the two characters, but the subtle development is a reward. I got terribly emotionally involved after I took a break to explore the biography of Lewis, but I suspect I would have had the same reaction had I not done that. I urge any one who sees this film o read the CS Lewis book “A Grief Observed,” particularly the introduction by Douglas Grisham. People who see the movie or who otherwise know about Lewis will know who I mean.
