This game is realistic. Unlike many other games, the protagonists always get the happy ending. The game illustrates the relationship between what's right and that's wrong and defines that theres a lot of areas in the world that are grey, instead of plainly black and white. The reason why many complained about the story is that people got too attached with the first game where they first encountered Joel`s story first. The beauty of the ending in this game is that it gives out a lot of symbolism and themes that are vague enough for not many to understand unless you pay attention to details in game. Great game.
