I did not read the book. Loved the television series on Netflix. I am still watching it. To me the dancing is absolutely amazing and these characters are real dancers. Some of the acting leave something to be desired, I am referring to the older male instructors. 🙄 The younger people impressed me (mostly) with their dancing and acting. I adore thrillers and this has it all. Yes there are some slow parts. I won’t reveal anything in case you haven’t seen the series but I highly recommend it who enjoy high energy and talented ballet.

I like that there are younger actors in this film. Riveting, excellent acting but marred by the fact so many of scenes are dark literally. Lots of snow and much of the film is set at night. I rate it 4.5,stars.

Many of the episodes seem heavy handed to inspire fear. However, to me the acting overall is excellent. My favorite episode was Striking Vipers which was perfect in every way. I’m a straight older female but to me it was beautifully executed. Many of the other episodes were so frightening I had to stop watching them. Mostly because it looks like it could be an accurate future.
