I thought this was a good film. Sure it has it's silly moments but still quite enjoyable as far as horror movies go. All the reviews on here seem to be people who either A just want to see some weird ghost or monster OR B just wanted to nit pick a movie so they picked this one. This movie is definitely what I consider more of a Thriller than a Horror movie. "Horror" is a term that has been taken for a ride in the mud. People before you go calling a decent movie like this "The worst horror movie ever" remember. The Bye Bye Man is a movie that was made and exists.

Personally I thought this movie was quite good. It was slightly thrilling and the acting was fairly good especially for a child actor. It must be hard to get a child actor to be sarcastic and spiteful like Savannah Liles is in this movie. There were a few decent jump scare moments but not too much and the important aspects of the story were revealed with great timing. I think its a 3-4/5
