I have never seen any of the other Evil Dead movies. But I am a horror fan. As someone who had zero idea what was going on, I loved this movie. Good story line that was easy to follow, gore, guts and a lot of peeking-through-my-hands moments. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint is I wish it had been released around Halloween time (my birthday and the best time of year for all horror movie fans). Otherwise, highly recommend!
