spoilers! this movie was one of the best ive ever watched. the people who say the ending was bad have literally no movie taste. it is possible for it to be dake, if they can make it look fake in cameras they can make it look fake for a prank you just need the right stuff and need to know how to do it. yes the poor guy (main character) was left with trauma and that prank was in fact horrible but you cant say that it would be impossible to pull it off. and about the car the car most likely didnt even work so he would be forced to go back for his friends.
