When I saw awful reviews about this game I was feeling super bad. But once u finally got my hands on it I learned that no one knows what they are talking about
*SPOILER WARNING*
When you begin in the first hour Joel falls into a trap and gets killed. Many reviewers have pointed out that while driving he didn’t fall for a trap and used this as a good example. Need I remind you, Joel explicitly said that he has worked for the good and the bad (the people trying to trap him). The viewer now gets an understanding that Joel has killed lots and may not be the best person. Let’s continue
Other people have said that they are mad that Ellie let Abby go instead of killing her. To this I say you must not know Ellie. She has gone through awful violence that no one has seen before. So finally when she comes to get her final payback 1 Abby doesn’t fight her automatically. Being a dead giveaway she changed. 2 Ellie has sorta been blinded by rage the whole game. She finally comes to do this and forgives Abby. Something Abby couldn’t. She finally grew up. And I know how it feels all you bad reviewers. That whole game I was cursing at Abby, and constantly wanted her dead, but I think it shows a lot of character development choosing to not kill Abby.
The final error I will be addressing is that when reading these I feel like people have forgotten about the game a little. The whole time I was reading bad reviews I was pointing out very valid flaws in their writing. Overall I loved the game. It felt very complete for Ellie at the end, I just hope they don’t screw it up with a part 3.
