The Batman was a great, slow burn detective film with thriller moments. I loved this darker, more serial killer version of The Riddler. The Riddler and Batman are fitting parallels of each other (won’t explain why as not to spoil plot points). Batman, who is young and just starting out as a vigilante, goes through a great character arc. They did well making none of the cast feel gimmicky. The whole world feels more grounded and real. The cast all have great chemistry. I definitely recommend! My only gripe is the inclusion of a certain villain near the end when setting up for a sequel. It felt out of place. Overall, 4.5 stars :)

Fantastic origin story. The creative fight scenes had beautiful camera work, and were fluid without annoying jump cuts. The cast had great chemistry and one in particular had a great character arc. The film makers did their homework on making the mythology come to life and not white washing the cast and fixing some of the questionable things from this character’s comic origins while still maintaining his essence. The cinematography was gorgeous. No complaints here.
