this movie suffered from the same issues and tropes most "lets bring back the 80s" movies do. They didn't understand the first movie well enough to make a proper sequel. The whole movie felt like it missed the mark. they mention 30 years later but chose to focus on the last few years. Wynonna ryder sounded like a raspy old woman. claudia deets seemed like she was right around the corner from the looney bin. the female antagonist, whos everything i have forgotten, is forgettable. this constant need to add an origin to everything ruined Beetlejuice. and even michael keaton seemed like he wasn't invested in the story. if you haven't watched it, dont worry about it.
