Good production values, acting. But boring as heck.

Plays like a series pilot... Not a bad thing I would like to see more!

A little formulaic, but within the story are some good portrayals of the differences between the owner class and the worker class in China without getting too heavy. I'm sure many will find it a little too light weight in how it handles the overt patriarchy of a small business owner, but I think it does do a good job of at least demonstrating some of the issues to a western audience in an entertaining format without getting too preachy and ultimately keeping the storyline entertaining specially considering the low budget production.
